I just encountered this bug while deep into development, and I'm not sure what to look for:
The error occurs after a while, even if the game is just standing still, with all events turned off.

Are you using any 3rd party plugins?
Which effects are present in your project?

I did manage to fix it, and it appears that it was a similar problem. Some animated objects that had physics caused it.
