Feature Request: Need more Monetiztion option - Ad Mediation

  • This is a feature request, posting here as I didnt see any suitable section for it.

    We developer spend lot of our time, money and efforts on re-creating our dreams into a Game! Its finally published on a store.. but then after a while we also expect some kind of a reward for the hardwork. Right now we have only few option IAP(rarely happens) and Ads.

    The official Admob Plugin is great! But not good enough to help us Developers make use of the other Monetization features that Google/Admob supports. That is, Ad Mediation! An app developed on Android SDK has an option to include various Ad network's mediation adapters into their project and expand the Ad mediation. Where as with C2 Admob plugin we are limited to Admob Ads only <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad">

    My game is mostly (80%) played by Asian market and the revenue/ad quality is very low there. I would like to add more Ad networks into my AdMob account so that my game can show Ads from other network when the Fillrate is low or the Ad quality is higher on other network.

    I read that the "cordova-admob-pro" (https://github.com/floatinghotpot/cordova-admob-pro) supports Ad mediation. Can C2 also please include this feature into the official Admob plugin? This plugin is just for reference. Can someone who is good at Javascript integrate the Ad meidation Feature into the Admob Plugin?

    This will greatly help us optimize our revenue model and ensure we get a better earning from games created using C2 <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

    To answer that.. Its a YES and NO.

    YES because, Admob portal allows you to add various Ad networks and enable Mediation.

    NO because, Along with above step, you need to also add every Ad Networks' (eg: inMobi), mediation adopter/SDK into our Android project. While doing this you define the Ad Unit/Key etc. This is where someone needs to enhance the AdMob plugin, to allow us to integrate these various SDKs into a C2 project or Intel XDK build.

    I'm not sure about this, but I believe that Ashley is making ALL the C2 coding

    Scirra needs to hire more developers so this can became reality

    Just for example:

    I'm using some cranberrygame plugins (IAP, Chartboost, Vungle) for monetization and they are GREAT

    I don't see a reason to not include some of them in the official plugins

    Thanks for letting knw about these plugins!! How do you use them together? I know IAP is used for IAP only, how does ChartBoost and Vungle work along with Admob plugin?

    Or can I safely ditch Admob and only use these two networks??

    Is there a way to figure out if one network is not showing Ad so that I can activate another plugin?

    Also how is the revenue on these networks

    No unfortunately its not a Universal App

    I was forced to release for Windows Store only because the Windows Phone has some serious Audio bug issues that crashes the game instantly!

    I am considering making a WP8 (XAML) version.. the audio and performance seems to be way better here!

    For monetization I am just using the Pubcenter for Ads. Honestly it sometimes performs much better than Admob.
