Crosswalk Intel XDK experiences

  • bscarl88 - I'm testing on a Galaxy S3 and the app crashes right when I click "play"

  • bscarl88 - I'm testing on a Galaxy S3 and the app crashes right when I click "play"

It's an older build of the app, but it definitely works on my phone (S4)

  • bscarl88 Can you post your APK somewhere so we can test it? I'm trying to find one's that dropped in performance and send them to the Crosswalk team.

And Crosswalk 10 should be used.

As you know my games also have bad performance. I don't know if it helps but here are the links to my games:

    play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Bottlegames.Buzzwire

    play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BottleGames.Borun

  • bscarl88 - I'll see if I can get another device to test on.

Furdy - Which device/OS version are you seeing poor performance on? Which version of Crosswalk are you using?

  • Furdy - my performance is perfectly fine on both of your games.

Mine is good for the first few seconds of godsmash, but since it's a twitch style game, the sudden drops and freezes ruin it and can mess up the user. Once you use your god's ability for the first time, things get slow - https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... armageddon

I only have lollipop on my devices, I have a nexus 7 and a moto G.

My performance is not terrible on those devices, but with CW 7 it was better. Now I use CW10

  • i think i ran across this on another post here earlier, maybe not, but it bears repeating:

    https://forums.html5dev-software.intel. ... 29&t=10413

i stayed up way too long last night trying to comprehend why there's a production version and an app version. solved that, got the crosswalk 10 build published on the app store(was 7), downloaded it, and the animations are choppy.

can't perform the suggested hack because i'm publishing the apk striaght out of the xdk. unless i'm wrong. I hope i'm wrong... if someone could point me in the right direction that'd be muy appreciated. but dragging the text file straight into the www folder didn't seem to cut it.

  • Update:

    https://forums.html5dev-software.intel. ... 29&t=10413

looks like there is a possible metadata work around???

  • Anybody ever get a thin, 1px line at the bottom of their game window when exporting thru crosswalk? This seems to appear when using the Browser - Fullscreen option from within C2, which is the only way I've found to make the status bar go away.

This issue persists across layouts, and yes, my layouts all have black backgrounds on the bottom layer, so that isn't it either.

    Here's some example pics:

  • TiAm uncheck fullscreen option from within C2, and set fullscreen in intel xdk porject - build settings - android-crosswalk

  • New version - 2015 February 23 v1816

    https://software.intel.com/en-us/html5/xdkdocs#506373

  • GSE

C2 won't export to Cordova if I set fullscreen to off.

    imaffett

New XDK has no option for Crosswalk v11, just v7 and v10. XDK's new press release says 'updated to Crosswalk V11'.

    ...?

  • TiAm haven't updated yet but have you tried just typing Beta for the version? doing so making it use the latest beta available

Edit NVM options not there anymore

  • In version 1816, how to add Admob plugin inside IntelXDX? There is no more plugin section?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
