  • Hello everyone, i am making a android project, but everytime i update the apk, i lost the variable values. there is any way to solve this problem?

  • roxinhojp Hi,

What do you mean by "update the apk" ? If you mean close and start the app, it's normal that the variables values will be lost. You have to use localstorage plugin

  • I think he is talking about the stored localstorage values. If you update your APK (install a new version of your game on your phone) the localstorage gets reset. I'd be interested in the answer as well.

  • Try Construct 3

actually, i dont use LocalStorage, and the game SAVES the variable values even if i close the game and open again, reboot the cellphone. I think my problem its solved (atleast in my cellphone Zen Fone GO, its ok). aparrently everything went ok after i published my game on google play store, now the values are being saved and it keeps even if i install a new version. anyway thanks for commenting. Hope that you find a solution for your problem

Wait. What? How in the world is that possible, unless you are using the Webstorage plugin...?.?

That doesn't happen to me... But if it does happen to you, that is something very serious and needs to be reported to Ashley.

Ashley? well, anyway i will keep up with the game. You can download the game here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... y&hl=pt_BR there is only one problem, the game its in portuguese, BUT i left some parts in english (My idea was make one app that had translations in portuguese and english). you can test the basic and see if its working on your cellphone <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

I had this issue, but I haven't exported and built an APK with XDK in a while so I don't know if the issue is still there. But it's good news if you don't have this problem. Are you using XDK?

  • glerikud - Yeah, i'm using IntelXDK. I do hope that the issue is gone now.
