What's going on?
Does this mean the positioned sound won't work anymore? Or Chrome is replacing the technology with something else?
Thanks!

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Yeah, I think they're removing it and it won't work any more. The doppler related features of the Audio plugin were already removed some time ago now IIRC.
What? No more positioned sound? That is just terrible...
Pretty sad
They aren't the same thing. The Doppler effect is the pitch shift relative to something's position (sound gets lower further away and higher closer... Think of a car or ambulance driving by). Positioned sound is just stereo panning.
C-7 If it is just Doppler effect then it's OK. I was afraid it is being removed with panning altogether.
Okay, great then!
Thanks
I never understood why they got rid of this, why couldn't it just have sat there, collecting dust, being useful to whoever needed it?
But I'm still trying to figure out why they dropped java like a hot potato without even a fallback plan.
