Whats up with the version of C2 on Steam? Is it still updated?

I want to buy C2 with this deal thing going on, but all of my spending money for things like this is on Steam

Buy C2 from the Scirra store directly. I usually read complaints about the Steam version, while the one you download from the official site works just fine.

It is updated just as the standalone version. I think it's Steam what causes some problems there.
