[Win10] Browser: Invoke Download breaking app

Problem Description

When trying to save a image (project file) with Browser: Invoke Download the image is shown but it replaces the entire app and you cant go back (tried enable back button in r288) and have to restart the app. And you cant rightclick>save the image (just copy).

• export for win10
• preview in visual studio

Observed Result

Image replaces entire app and you cant go back or save the image.

Expected Result

image should be saved to download folder (like it is if you open it in the browser), open in a new window to let user save it or have an option to save the image and return to the app

Note Edge appears to have a bug with the download feature which I reported here: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/5567178/

I would not expect "invoke download" to work in a Win10 app, because the download UI relies on the browser interface, which is not present in a Win10 app (e.g. the address bar, history etc. are not there, just the page content). So given there's no way for this to work in a Win10 app, I don't think this is something we can fix.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I changed it to Open New Browser Window and uploaded the images on my server.

But does open new browser win work without a web URL and a local file, too?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but opening a new browser window should work fine.

The "Open new Browser Window" action requires a URL like http://www.blabla.com/myimage.jpg. Is it possible to use a local file instead or a local path? (but local path is only in NW.js plugin?). something like "%APPFOLDER%/image.jpg" to use a local file and dont require a internet connection.
