146 Version - Node-Webkit

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create the Hero - Beraviors: Platform

    2. Create the solid

    3. Create the event like image below

    4. Export project to Node-Webkit

    5. Play exe inside file "win32"

    Observed result:

    1. The music start 1 or 2 seconds later. Do not immediate like the event.

    2. Go outside of layout and the music do not stop when the layout restart. The music will continue playing over it self. Do this some times to see.

    Expected result:

    The music have to stop and start immediate and do not continue when the layout restart. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: no. is "ok"

    Firefox: no tested

    Internet Explorer: no tested

    Operating system & service pack:

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Construct 2 version:

    construct2-r146-setup_17657153

    Using the 144.2 version it did not happen <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • +1 same bug for me. I am getting random cut-out's too, if I have more than 1 sound block requesting a sound. Background music is now impossible.

    In the past I was informed they do not test for or deal with Windows 7 problems. (I guess the FREE developer versions of windows 7 are too expensive)

    If this is true, you are pretty much wasting your time with Construct 2 + Win 7 development.

    If you find any "Show-stopper" bugs, they will be ignored unless they can can re-create them in windows 8.

    The Node-Webkit Drag and drop is broken too, even worse than before. If you drop an EXE file on the window it will open the save dialog.

    If you drop any file type Chrome understands like Jpeg or txt files, Chrome will load the files into the browser window rather than executing your commands.

    The preview mode does not do this, so it is probably a fixable bug.

    You can get a Dev copy of windows 8 for free. You can probably run it in a VM. If you do not have the same bugs when you test in windows 8, then it is time to give up developing for windows 7.

    They will not be able to re-create or fix the bug.

  • I'm also having this issue. I tried working around it by using stop audio but it's managing to even start songs from previous levels before the correct stage music starts.

    Node Webkit only, windows 7 64-bit.

  • That's very old news, Sometimes I use "Stop" audio when on layout ends.

  • Joannesalfa Yeah - that's what I did this morning to resolve the problem. But it didn't work. I have it as "when layout ends" for every stage, also for level skip when testing.

    It shuts off, but starts again in place of a new song on a new layout, but then that new song also starts after a 2 second or so delay. It's completely knackered no matter what I do. So I'll just leave it alone for now.

  • I have a temporary solution for music problem.

    For the delay of music in the start of layout, I have no idea.

  • Please do not use spammy file hosts that are covered with ads, make me wait, and require me to sign in. Please only use Dropbox, Google Drive or SkyDrive, which allow clean, immediate anonymous downloads. I don't have a .capx repro for this yet, can someone provide one?

    if you export using 144,2 version, is all ok.

    if you export using 146 version, have sound problem = The music has starting late when start layout and continues playing when restart layout.
