  • Problem Description

When running a game on Windows 10 Mobile the tap gesture is very temperamental.

Mostly it does not work at all. It worked fine on Windows Phone 8.1 with the same app packages so this is most likely an issue/incompatability with the Edge browser on the phone. An interesting point to note is that locking the phone and unlocking again seems to improve the functionality massively but as soon as the app is restarted touch input seems to be broken again.

    I've tested this on a Nokia Lumia 920, a Nokia Lumia 930 and a Microsoft Lumia 950

All of these devices were fine when running 8.1 and all have issues when upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • 1. Open one of the games linked above and try to play them. Note that tapping the screen is either non-responsive or temperamental making the games unplayable.
    • 2. Lock the phone screen leaving the game open.
    • 3. Unlock the phone and try playing the game. Note it is now more responsive than before.

    Observed Result

Games are unplayable when first launched but seem to work better after locking and unlocking the device.

    Expected Result

Games should be playable whenever they are open on the device.
