From the Asset Store
3 pixel charaters with over 8 animations each + animations with a gun
  • If you press Animation:"Edit" on the Sprite's Properties panel, C2 crashes.

    Easily reproducible with any spite.

  • I am with this issue too!

  • Confirmed:

    Specs:

    Intel Centrino

    Windows XP 32-bit

    Construct 2 Release 99 (32-bit) Beta

    Repro steps:

    1. Create a new project (capx)

    2. Import a png file(I used drag-and-drop)

    3. Select picture in active layout

    4. In Left-Column Properties Bar and under Properties tab, click Animations->Edit

    Result:

An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Construct2.exe

As near as I can tell, this only happens when using the Properties Bar. Right-clicking on the image and clicking Edit Animation works fine, Right-clicking on image under Projects Bar also works correctly.

As I don't have another computer to test this with, I can't verify whether this problem is limited to my particular configuration or is more general in nature.

  • Well, here I am inserting a Sprite object in layout, with right mouse click, them I choose some images, each for a diferent frame, and close the Image Editor. When I try to edit the Sprite, C2 crashes.

    PS: This never happens before!

    My specs:

HP Pavillion notebook with Intel i7

    Windows 7 64-bit

    Construct 2 Release 99 (64-bit) Beta

  • Duplicate of this bug, should be fixed in the next build. Workaround: just double click sprites instead of using the link.

  • Thanks!

The workaround, double click, works here too.
