  • C2 crashes when I try to duplicate a frame, every time, even in a new project.

Create project, insert sprite, right-click on animation frame 0, duplicate frame, "Construct 2 has stopped working".

Win 7, Radeon HD5750, latest drivers, no problem in r95.

  • Yes and no.

It happens to me when I read your post, but only once. Now it's fine, tried to reproduce it few times but did not crash anymore. Strange.

  • Works fine for me. One thing that's annoying though is that the Animation window is always push behind the editor window every time you do something with it.

  • Try Construct 3

  • What I've noticed, a bit in the same order of idea, is that when you try to delete a frame of the animation, from the Animation Frames Dialog, whether you do it by pressing the "Del" key, or right-click "Delete".

Then, C2 has stopped working, crash, back to windows.

Also, I'v just tried the "Duplicate" ramones mentioned and twice in a row did C2 crash.

Nickydude: I'm not sure what you're talking about there.

As far as it goes for me, whenever I click on the animation dialog, it gives it the focus, and I can work in it as expected. Once I'm done and clicking on the image editor dialog giving it the focus back, of course then the animation dialog goes beyond in the bacgkround.

If I right click to duplicate a frame, the frame window is then pushed to the back and I have to move the editor out of the way to get it back again. May be this is the default behaviour.

  • Oh, no it's not normal behavior.

I'd bet it has rather to see with the crashing issue discussed above.

  • I found a crash which only happened when certain image editor tools were selected. It should be fixed in the next build. I also fixed the issue with the animation frames pane going behind the main window, I didn't realise anyone used it overlapping like that.

  • The reason I use it overlapping is that I resize the editor to large, larger that I show in the image.
