  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • no one?

  • There is little anyone can do if you don't follow the posting guidelines.

It's obvious the problem lies with your PC otherwise the site would be inundated with similar posts. The update may just be coincidental. A Micros**t update could even have caused this.

Have any other things been updated, i.e. OS, browsers etc.

The error mentions a GPU memory request error, so a (slim) possibility could be that either your card is faulty, your drivers are broken, or it's some ridiculously large image your trying to use.

Does this happen with all .capx (even the built-in examples) or just your own?

If it's a .capx of your own, then you will need to upload for others to test.

  • for now i'm no longer able to open ONE of my projects. every time i open the project i get the following error and construct 2 close!

to whom should i send a zipped folder with my project? i don't want to post a link in the forum

    *edit*
i was able to open the project once, for 1minute, the "gameSheet" appears as empty, without the "add event" link....
  • The fact one crash happened in nvoglv64.DLL and the error message based on "NVIDIA OpenGL Driver" strongly indicates your nVidia graphics driver is crashing, not Construct 2. Therefore it's not an issue we can help with. You'll need to contact nVidia support.

If your project happens to use more GPU memory than your system has available, try deleting all the .uistate.xml files (if you use a .capx file, rename it to .zip and extract it first). That will allow you to open it with just the first layout tab open, which will use less memory.

  • hi Ashley,

thanks! i deleted all my .uisate.xml files and now i am able to open my project again... however, all tab's are still opened.

i will try to edit my project for the next weeks using my notebook instead.

another question which has nothing todo with my post... is / was easeTween a buildin behavior in any previous version?

the background of this question is that i am not able to open my project on the notebook (cant find EaseTween behavior) and i also cant find the plugin in Construct 2\exporters\html5\behaviors folder on my PC.

    thanks
