• Hi there

Webstorage is only saved as long as the session is still running. When you close the window your webstorage is also wiped clean :(

Is there a way to fix this, because this pretty much renders the exe exporter useless for me. Please let there be a fix for this...

Also - the performance in fullscreen is pretty bad compared to windowed performance, but you already know that. Is there an ETA on fix of this issue?

I also have another issue - I can go to fullscreen, but I cannot exit fullscreen again. It works fine in Chrome but not in Awesomium for some reason. And is there a way to close Awesomium from my game, so I can add that to my in game options?

Other than that, it's just working perfectly and even better than I hoped for.

Love the WebGL shaders btw! And this is my first post...

  • Also have problems with Browser>Cancel fullscreen and Browser>Close when exported with Awesomium.

Will be great once this is working 100 percent, can't wait:)

  • I really hope webstorage is going to work with the EXE exporter...

A stand alone game without a save function is pretty 1982-ish.

  • You could always make yourself save/load system ;)

  • How would I go about doing that?

I already got my system working with webstorage - but I am open to changing that if I knew how to. Is there a tutorial on something like that or just similiar to that?

  • I'll investigate why WebStorage is not working. I may have turned off support for it by accident.

The performance issue in fullscreen is dependent on the Awesomium team fixing it, so I can't say I'm afraid, best ask them! I think they will prioritise it higher if more people contact them about it.

You can exit fullscreen with the 'Cancel fullscreen' action in the Browser object. It should be working OK, are there any problems with it? (If so please make a separate bug report)

  • Thanks Ashley.

I have contacted Awesomium staff about the performance issue and hope others will do the same.

I look forward to hearing about more on the webstorage issue.

  • --> Ashley

Any news on the webstorage front? I would like to know if webstorage is going to work with Awesomium - or I need to think about going in another direction.

    Cheers!

  • WebStorage should be working in the next build.

  • That's fast. Good work Ashley.

Was just a simple turn on/off thing was it?

  • Try Construct 3

  • WebStorage should be working in the next build.

    This makes me so happy

I have designed this over complicated save system based on webstorage and it really was a bitch to make - so I am happy that I can use this with Awesomium too - because it really works well now.

If the Awesomium team could do something about the performance - I would have nothing to complain about at all
