I've tried looking around a bit to find an answer to this question. When importing larger images into a project (e.g., 1280x760) why do they display squished to only half the actual size? Is there a way to see the actual-size images in Construct2?
Thank you!
If I understood your problem correctly, it shouldn't do that. Did you check that your sprite object isn't resized? Click the object and then click 'Make 1:1' in Properties.
I did. It seems to happen with images over 1200px wide. As an example, you can try it with the snowcastle_final.PNG image found here:
https://opengameart.org/content/in-the-snow
It displays the transform reticle properly, but the image itself is squished into one half of the preview, as seen here:

Works ok for me.
New project, 1280x760 for Project and Layout size, dropped snowcastle_final.PNG onto Layout, looked ok, clicked preview, still ok.
Am I using the correct settings?
Using Firefox 59.02, Win 7 x64 Pro, C2 x64 r255.
