How do I make a scrolling and changing background?

I'm new here and I'm wading through all the docs. Honest!

But I'm stuped on how to make a background that will scroll, but where I can change the images randomly as they scroll. I'm looking to make an endless runner so I want the background to scroll by but show different buildings that I'll insert randomly. The point is to make it look like it is an "endless" runner even though there will be repeating. But I wnat to have the pictures change randomly so it doesn't look like it is repeatig.

I apologise if this is somewhere and I've missed it. I need to put a newbee image in my sig but I don't have one.

how about set your background to Self.X -5 to scroll left?

then spawn random object on imagepoints inside your background
