  • Hello everyone,

i searched about 6 hours on web on scirra forums for this question but i couldnt find an proper answer.

On tutorials , people are telling that use tile map editor export as .tmx etc but construct 2 can not import .tmx ? or xml or json ? only images file extension and some i dont know even what they are for.

if i export tilemap as png which i created on tile map editor , will it store collision ? I guess not.If it is not how can i do that ?

    Thank you.

  • I would suggest you read the manual first, specifically this: https://www.scirra.com/manual/171/tilemap-bar, then look at the built-in examples that include a tilemap example.

It really is as easy as using Tiled to create, export as .tmx and import into Tilmap object.

  • Thank you for link but i already read that article.

Problem is when i created tilemap object and try to edit it , i can only export or i can select tilemap from images file (extension with jepg, png etc ).It does not have an option to import .tmx files. That is my problem right now.

Probably i am missing something that i shouldnt have but i can't find that missing thing you know.

Am i looking wrong place to import .tmx files ? or should i know something before adding tilemap objects ?

edit: what i exactly meant was using with tile map editor and exporting .tmx file which created for . Is that possible to import construct 2 to .tmx file without any plug'ins ?

if it is possible , i couldnt find that option. that was my main question.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Save your tmx file in tiled, then drag and drop the file into your construct 2 layout.

  • I just found this post via Google search.

    These are two articles I found-- I'm posting here to book mark this thread. Also, I haven't fully read the TMX importer post, but am happy to see #construct recognizes TMX files <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing"> <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing"> <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing">
