  • Hey guys: I recently saw a game on the Android Store about an alien octopus that eats people and objects. It's kind of an RPG/action game, and I really liked the player's movement, so I thought, "What if?" So here's a plugin to create a sprite with that movement. It's exclusively for creating some kind of intergalactic octopus or Cthulhu, if you want... I've included a demo and some screenshots... If you want the plugin, send me an email to

    .

To play the demo, you can use either a mobile phone or a computer. Simply click on the octopus's head with your mouse. With a keyboard, you can use the 1 and 2 keys to extend or retract the tentacles and also control the octopus with the arrow keys.

  • Such a random thing to make xD But we can't control our muses!

I like it. It might have one purpose but it does that extremely well. With the add/remove tentacles feature you can probably make a quick game where you have to eat objects to gain tentacles and taking damage removes them.

Also it doesn't trigger my arachnophobia like the insect legs behavior. Haha!

Here's a random idea... Is it possible to make the tentacles grab onto Solids or maybe a set family of objects? This way the behavior can also be used for platformers to make it look like the octopus is climbing up the walls/ceiling.

  • Hi, just press, tap, or click on the octopus you want to control, on PC press 1 or 2 and You can add or subtract tentacles, and right-clicking makes it attack. I'm preparing a multiplayer version, which I'll upload soon. I made a simplified multiplayer plugin to connect and play multiplayer games.
