  • Hello,

I’m writing to express my deep frustration with the current state of the Construct 3 beta editor. The experience has become extremely unstable and makes working on any project a nightmare. The interface constantly freezes or locks up after exiting the editor view, and overall it feels like the program is “drunk” or unresponsive.

Releasing a beta in this condition is completely unacceptable—especially considering that once a project is saved in this version, there’s no way to revert or open it in a previous, more stable release. This lack of version fallback puts our work at serious risk.

Please take this seriously. If I’m paying for a subscription, the minimum I expect is a stable, reliable environment to work in. Right now, this version does not meet that standard at all.

I kindly ask that this issue be addressed as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

This is exactly what the stable releases are for - you can expect more stability and reliability with those releases:

It's tempting to use the latest features with beta's, but you should expect issues and it sounds like you'd be best of just using the stable versions.

In addition to Tom's comment, we're not aware of such complaints from any other beta users at the moment. Mysterious problems not experienced by other users are frequently caused by browser extensions interfering with Construct, rather than being caused by Construct itself, so try disabling any browser extensions you have installed. Otherwise in order to investigate any stability issues with Construct you'd need to file an issue following all the guidelines.
