  • does C3 support direct APK and Ios package creation without uploading to stores? just to try localy yes or no?

i am trying c2 now for a week and i like it but i suffer to make an APK from the html5 files. there is no easy simple solution that actually works always ok without involving a bunch of software and framework installations!

Yes, you can build APKs ready for publishing right from Construct 3 without having to install anything. For iOS you can get Xcode projects ready for testing and publishing (Apple's publishing restrictions make it difficult to do more).

      • thanks for the quick reply. any plans to add this with APK to the c2? i really dont like to pay per month or year subscriptions and have to work an webapp version of the tool, rather the independent windows desktop i am trying now. i like c2 a lot, but my 1st game iwish also to be for Mobile devices, besides and this lack of export is killing me :( is not fair. make the c3 attractive my pricing i get that, but not removing crucial features from c2 or flexibility to work 100% offline! (i mean not connect once and then if internet drops you are ok no. offline 100% like in a plane)

Construct 2 will not be getting any new features, it's on the path to being retired. You can however use Construct 3 to build Construct 2 Cordova exports, or import your project and use it to build it. Construct 3 is cheaper than some standalone build services, and you get both a full game development tool and a build service as well.

        • also please understand that you are not offering any "try" versions at least! all cool features are locked in the "free" version so if i want to see if the APK and Ios exports work and my game runs on my devices i have to buy a license just to test!?

why not follow the Unity method? make a community edition and force license upon certain budget, or at least in our accounts give us the option for few days 30days for example to test the full version and then we can make our minds if we will buy a license or not. buying without trying is not going to boost sale.

          thats my 2 cents.
