Notes

It's a new stable release of Construct! If you're updating from the last stable release r458.2 then this update includes changes from r459, r460, r461, r462, r463, r464 and r465. Highlights include:

⭐ Support for Physics per-instance collision filtering

⭐ Four new blend modes: Lighten, Darken, Multiply and Screen

Pin editor bars to the side of the screen for easy access

⭐ A range of other user interface improvements including saving UI state per user account, more easily entering multi-values in the Properties Bar, and scoped string autocompletion in event sheets

⭐ System expressions HexColor and ColorToHexString for more easily managing color values in hexadecimal format

⭐ Revisions to the tagging system, making instance tags case-insensitive, adding a Replace option for the Change tags action, and allowing the Solid behavior to use instance tags

⭐ You can now use files with the same name in different subfolders, removing a long-standing limitation

⭐ You can now call custom actions from script

⭐ A new demo game Overloaded & Underqualified, and 4 other new examples

⭐ Loads more additions, improvements, performance improvements and bug fixes - see all the intervening release notes for full details

We'll be starting a new beta release cycle soon. Please note the team will be taking a well-deserved end of year break, and the next beta release will be in early January. If you'd like to help test it when it's out, try the beta release opt-in: choose Notify me about updates for beta releases in Settings. Stay tuned for more updates!
