Notes

We've identified some issues that were fixed in our latest beta releases but potentially affecting the stability of r308. So to help make sure Construct is robust we're releasing a patch update for the stable channel, with a few bug fixes hand-picked from the latest beta releases applied to r308.

Animations editor: crash closing the editor and undoing changes to object types with no animations (regression r305)

  • Just want to say THANK YOU for consistent, well thought out, and performant updates.

    When I started this engine I had a lot of timidity about performance (as a web developer it's my job to make things performant).

    It's a JOY to learn about all the optimizations you have done. It really takes a lot off of my plate and allows me to focus on gameplay elements, especially as a new game developer.

    Thank you and please keep it up!

  • I just went back to downloading Construct 2 since Construct 3 is constantly crashing on me, animations not running, crashes when choosing certain events. I keep getting an "Access Error" code that pops up when i'm logged in using the web version. I tried the latest beta 311, went back to 308, no use. I like Construct cos I learned on it already, but I may switch to GameMakerStudio unless I can figure out what exactly is happening.

      I haven't heard of anyone else reporting such problems - maybe try disabling any browser extensions in case one is interfering with Construct? It's hard to help without more details, but if you can report any problems here following the guidelines we'll investigate: github.com/Scirra/Construct-3-bugs

      • I'm using Microsoft Edge and it has one Extension: Capital One shopping.

        seems like it was a browser issue than a Construct issue, after searching some solutions I ultimately ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Edge and Ive been going for at least an hour with no issues on both Construct 3 and Construct 2.

        One solution suggested to change the name of the Microsoft Edge application; upon restart my computer was unable to open Microsoft Edge and deemed it not being installed. I went to the Microsoft store and selected "install" for the Microsoft Edge Application. Seems to be runing well now. If i find anyone encountering this same issue I will suggest to just reinstall the application.

  • Hello, I noticed in the IAP plugin there are no two events for restoring a purchase, namely 1 event is a successful restoration of a purchase, 2 is an event for an error in restoring a purchase.

  • Hey you guys. im not sure what i'm doing wrong, but can we have an official Scrirra aka Cinstruct tutorial for the 3d OBJECT plugin? PLEASE PLEASE... i really have cool ideas but struggle to impliment them.

      I believe the 3D object is a third-party addon, so not something we are responsible for supporting or documenting.

  • Hello. Thanks for the consistent update. let you know I started to have issues with r308.2 when add a sprite and apply color. It´s the first time I have problems with construct 3
