Notes

It's the start of a new beta release cycle, and we have a great set of new additions for you! First up the 3D editor has some further improvements. Now you can use scale editing mode to resize objects in the 3D view. There's also now the ability to edit mesh points with the gizmo in the 3D view, so you can more conveniently edit 3D meshes. The gizmo has a few adjustments to improve usability. We've also added an option to hide the top toolbar in the Layout View in case you want to stick to 2D editing.

There are some significant updates for exporting projects in this release too. Most export options now have an option to export to a folder - so rather than having to download and extract a zip on every export, you can choose a folder and have the entire exported project written directly there, which should be more convenient for quick testing. To make that even more useful, Construct now remembers export settings per project - so your chosen export folder is remembered for the specific project, along with all the other export settings.

The Construct Game Services plugin has also gained support for some new online services, including achievements and notifications. There's also a fix for a regression that prevented cloud saves working.

  • construct is rapidly evolving and the updates are as exciting as always

  • In the description you mention being able to edit "3D meshes" with the gizmo, however I think you mean' to say "2D Meshes".

    Also, scaling a 3D mesh only seems to scale the bounding box, and not the actual mesh....
