Notes

We're now focusing on reliability and bug fixes as we move towards a stable release, which hopefully will be ready in the next few weeks. This release has fixes for some further issues with 3D model, as well as correcting some regressions from recent releases. One notable update for 3D model is that the old options to set a single mesh, or multiple meshes by a string, are now deprecated in favor of the newer and more flexible options to enable or disable individual meshes or all meshes.

One small addition that did make this release is the Animations Editor now has dedicated buttons to pick opaque black, opaque white, and transparency. This helps make it quicker to use these common colors.

  • Not sure how viable this is in a "short" timeframe, but would be cool to get 2 little tab buttons at the top of the editor, 2D and 3D modes, to change the Layout View from flat 2D by default to a 3D one with rotating camera, so we can actually see and edit our 3D objects better. Right now its ok with the manual XYZ in properties, but my workflow is like make one tiny change -> F5 and check in game -> adjust -> F5...which kinda takes forever :D

    One more suggestion is allow us to set Z rotation of objects, right now I cannot for example on a Bullet set it to z angle like 3DCamera's z angle, etc

  • only if there was native implementation of unity ads meta audience network

  • i so badly want to try out the new versions but I'm stuck in LTS because my project uses an SDK1 addon as one of its core features..

  • effect is hiding the 3d object.
