A cool way for kids to write and practice English Alphabets
  • psyko666 This game has a lot of potential! I like the concept. But now it's all a bit too clumsy, the controls should be tighter. I died and kept falling of platforms when I spawned back. And maybe the red bullets should go faster, they're hard to dodge.

    Maybe I'm not hardcore enough.. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • thanks guys, really really appreciate the comments xD, i'm still working on it.

Peret nice game too! is it still in the works? :)

robin Sommer thanks! what do you mean tighter? :)

TELLES0808 thanks! it's an endless runner but still thinking about things to add :)

  • psyko666 Yes I still working on it :) now I am working on automatic spawn backgrounds. Your game have a limited background or it's automatic?

  • With tighter I mean less floaty, so when it gets hectic you have more control. This is all finetuning.

  • Peret yep it's auto and dynamic :)

  • robin Sommer i see... okay thanks, noted :)

  • Hello there!

Currently I'm working on a Monkey Island style Point&Click Adventure.

The GFX are hand-drawn on paper and finished on the computer, the music has been done by an incredibly talented friend of mine.

The finished game will be in german, but I did an english translation just for you guys <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I tried my best, but my english isn't perfect.

I didn't translate any texts in the GFX though, so I guess you should know that

    "Nimm" means "pick up"

    "Benutze" means "use"

    "Rede" means "talk"

    "?ffne" means "open"

Plus by pressing the right mouse button you can take a closer look at things.

The game is in a very early stage, so until now it consists of a short introduction, 2 in-game screens and one little puzzle.

As soon as you have the key there's nothing more to do, just to save you some time <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I didn't optimise it for online playing yet either, so SFX will probably start delayed (no preloading yet) and loading time of the game may take a while, it's about 30 megs.

Any suggestions on how to improve the game would be GREATLY appriciated!

    Very nice, Punk's always good! <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle">

If you need some Punkrock as a Soundtrack just give me a shout, I'm in a Punk Band and I could send you some Instrumentals you can use.

    Scirra:

Thank you so very much for this brilliant program!

    Best ?99 ever spent!

  • Horace Pinker awesome game man!, and i love the monkey island series! :)

  • Needed some creative release that wasn't my main project.

As a result I made this:

    Colour Shift

It requires a game pad to play so make sure you plug one in!

    Do enjoy.

  • Horace Pinker great game.

Also, you can setup the player size by a math using as reference his Y on the screen.

  • Also working on a little interactive infographic. Check it out!

"How We are Changing the World."

  • TELLES0808

    Thanks!

Yes, that's what I did, but it uses only 3 steps.

I guess there must be a way to do it 'every tick' to make it seamless, but I couldn't figure out the right formula yet.

    Any suggestions, maybe?

    edit: Ah, stupid me! I figured it out, it's pretty easy actually. <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Horace Pinker

Great game!! Looks pretty good! It could be a great adventure.

Suggestion: while the player is talking I can't do anything else, it would be nice if you can do another action while player is talking

  • Try Construct 3

  • Horace Pinker, and shortcut to the intro would be necessary, because if you play it 2 times, you'll need to wait a lot to start the stage.

  • Muco:

I tried it that way, but it caused some issues that messed up the gameplay and I wasn't really able to resolve. Most adventure games won't let the player move while talking, so I decided to stick with that.

I'm thinking about letting the player cut the dialogues by pressing a mouse button, though.

    TELLES0808

I'm not quite sure, do you mean the player should be able to skip the introduction? That's definitely a good idea and shall be done ^^

    Thank you both very much! <img src="smileys/smiley42.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
