  • This is only a Bump reply, I'll not double post under it, this is only to keep people refreshed with the new contents ^^

  • Try Construct 3

  • Very cool, very cool! One of the hardest things for beginners to nail down is a good animation system, and yours is looking great so far. Keep it up. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Wow, thats complex.I'm curious about whats coming.

  • Today I'll finish all the poses, but I can one thing, playing with kinect can break you, lol, that's why I'm so tired.

    Take a look on the character template, the sketch and the final version =P

  • Looks fantastic! However that delay before jumping could get VERY annoying.

  • I'll fix it next release ^^

    Thanks for the tip.

  • After a longe time, updated =]

  • As someone who really appreciates a well animated game, I love this. Would love to eventually see the source file for this to see how you are implementing all of the moves.

    The only problems I see are when you try to flip against the wall. It gets a little buggy.

    Looking forward to seeing how you do the rest.

  • Nice work Telles0808,

    The control system is pretty fun and your current animation sequences deserve the praise its getting. Cant wait for a stage!

    Next release: 4 new poses;

    Author note:

    I want to finish the basic poses as fast as possible, but it delayed because I did a complete new code, using fluxogram to help in logics and complex poses.

    What you're thinking about this pack? It's going well for you? Did you checked all the images inside the Player Gadget? There have many sprites made specially for this pack, and you can feel free to use it in your non-commercial projects with CC-Share alike! =D

    I can stand on that wall. Logically I should slide down a diagonal wall depending upon how steep it is.

    Other than that very well done.

    Thanks for the feedback Zephlon

    Awesome point!

    This is not a logic problem, but I'm brainstorming around this issue have 3 weeks to figure out a workaround.

    We was talking about it on the topic: scirra.com/forum/sticky-platformer_topic48868.html

    And the answer of Our dear Developer about the issue:

    Posted: 05 Feb 2012 at 8:52pm

    This could be a very complicated feature to add to the platform behavior itself - it's already one of the most complex behaviors, and it currently does not care what it is standing on. For example, you could also stand on a single pixel, so by the same rule you can land on a very steep slope. I'll see if it's straightforward to fix the Platform behavior to drop down in this case, but it might not be, so it would be best to work around this with events or careful level design for the time being.

    Man, this is hard to workaround ^^. I?ll give time to time and wait a moment of light to solve this ~~

    Well, I think the workaround is working nice now.

    Revised: 2012/02/16 - Implemented a complex system to workaround the climbing issue;

    Edited:

    I'm working on the game style and put a point in discussion with my friends.

    These trees, what looks better?

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47035927/temp/samples/tree-001_by_telles0808.png" border="0" /> or <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47035927/temp/samples/tree-002_by_telles0808.png" border="0" />

    What the difference between each other? one is with 70 colors and the second is with 8 colors.

    What do you think?

    A forest ^^

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47035927/temp/samples/Forest.png" border="0" />

  • Wow, I could barely tell the difference between the two trees. I had to look at it like 3 inches away from my monitor. The one on the left has more colors, and therefore looks a little better.

  • ^^

    To improve size compactation, I'll keep the smaller version.

    Update: 2012/02/19 - Improved with more conditionals and polish the movements;
