A retro style platform game. Your pet is lost in an ancient Myan Temple and you have to find him. Collect gems and other treasures along the way. Avoid the skeletons and and other traps as you make your way through the lost temple.
Basic arrow keys to move left and right, up and down ladders, and space to jump.
I like it! As for a first game it's really nice. You defenitely get the feeling of the oldies ;) Good Job!
My first game. Used this as a learning tool to get familiar with Construct 2. Go gentle on me in the reviews.... no prior game making experience... just an old gamer trying to recapture some of my youth as a teen playing on my Commodore 64 and Amiga 500.
How long did it take you to learn to make your game? It is better than a lot of the free games.
Thanks BackendFreak... hoping the grand kids like it... I am gonna make a gamer bundle for all the grandkids this Christmas, and include this one in it among a few other Construct games as well as a personalized RPG for each I am making with another program that shall not be mentioned here...
Some players commented that there was a animation bug with stepping off ladders in the game. I didn't see it at first in my own play testing but after it was pointed out to me I was able to recreate it.
Uploaded a new game version today with that animation bug fixed.
Hi Biff - took me about a month of on and off work. I spent the first couple weeks messing around with the free assets as well as the first tutorials on the tutorial page. The best way to learn I think it to jump in and start using it... start making a game or two. I had to do some other research in the manual on figuring out how to make the ladders in the game work - that was the hardest part in making Temple of the Lost.
