I put in a lot of hours this week and figured out how to make the world infinitely wide & tall. It's not well optimized yet, as there is a decent delay when entering a new area and generating chunks. Returning to old chunks has less delay but hopefully I can improve on that as well. There is a bitmasking artifact visible between chunks now, and for the time being I had to cut out the ability to change the terrain. If you stay zoomed into the player the Scroll To effect is seamless. I'll lower the player to the bottom of the screen and make the layout rotate with q & e soon so the player can see very far away.
