  • I think that it would be amazing if all the expressions were made more easily accessible

    as in a reference with detailed explanations , I couldn't figure out by myself how to

    check for a keypress even when I made a keyboard object and use it's functions attached

    I had to rely on any key being pressed.

    I think it needs more chromium browser support .

    I think that blend effects ,etc could be made more easily accessible and actually

    have some kind of a preview box so that we can actually see what will happen without having to

    apply and remove everytime this could apply to all effects ,etc.

  • I like that it has more upgrades above the old ui but I do not like the browser support currently

    I have vivaladi which is a chromium based browser and it doesn't work regardless of how updated it is

    I have swiron which is a chromium based browser and it doesn't work on their as well

    it only works on the worst browser of all for stealing your information google chrome

    and I really dislike that but otherwise I've found it slightly cumbersome to use

    but I managed to get a pre-rendered 3d scene into the layout and put 2 hand drawn sprites

    and have one of them zoom in on the press of any key leading the way for me to refine it so

    that it appears like the hand sprite is going into the distance I hope otherwise I probably won't be able

    to use this engine... and I don't know if their are any other decent alternatives to this.

    I don't mind that it's in the browser but I need it to work on the browsers I am using .

    Why can't their be a store bought version with unlimited updates for one price only and never needs repaying

    and a donation model for those who want to help out and then you can supply other plugins,etc that people want

    as an addition similar to what phaser does, the entire thing is free and works with none if any real big or minor issues

    but you can buy extra stuff ?, and if you wanted to get really cheeky I wouldn't recommend it but

    make a subcription model anyways so people can buy the subcription if they want,

    some people might do it out of kindness or moral.

    Why hasn't ashley or scirra set up a patreon account , kickstarter or whatever

    to fund this somewhat awesome **** man people are so clueless, no offence I may not enjoy

    flawed but deceptively workable mathematical and un-needed unnecessary tedious programming

    because it's full of flaws in my honest opinion but still.

    Fantastic it does work and really well what is this whole tick thing anyways

    is that the main javascript loop ticker?

    The house is a placeholder ;P

    I totally didn't see that every tick why they put it under general is beyond me their are a few little ui oddities

    that don't make a lot of sense in construct 2 but otherwise it's a really kind and relatively considerate development interface for games

    I've looked through the system events and I can't see anything resembling a tick ;/, can you tell me

    where to find it um but thank you for the dt part will try that?.

    yes set size seems to do it kind of but if it gets too small it flips on it self which is really annoying

    so if their's some way to stop it from shrinking below a certain size guess that would be ideal for me.

  • Hi their just bought construct 2 and find it too be a more then relatively decent tool

    for non-programming game development somewhat however I have a problem that's really irritating me....

    Let me explain my situation I'm trying to create a pre-rendered 3d graphics pesudo-3d game

    similar to the sims bustin out on game boy advance anyways the problem is

    I have a player and I want the character too shrink if closer to a door exit

    or grow if not closer to the door exit .

    I've tried using set scale when a key is pressed but it only scales once

    their doesn't seem to be a way to consistently grow or shrink an object

    when a key or anything is pressed and or if closer to an object or not???.

    Please if someone knows how this can be achieved in the most over simplified way possible

    let me know I'm not very good with maths I've tried programming game engines for like 3-4 years

    and was only able to get a 3d model up with some ambient lighting , animated backgrounds and after reading a tutorial

    a relatively okay 3d camera after the most annoying and frustrating experience ever which I never wanna do again!.

    I hope to hear from someone...
