  • Hey guys. I'm struggling to get my Twitter feature to work.

    I set my actions to "show buttons" but they only seem to appear when I have a cover (manual twitter button).

    "Show button" doesn't show anything. I'm only testing it offline right now but will the actual buttons appear when I test this over a build?

    Any example Capx files?

    Sega spend $100,000 in ADs to Admob. You make money because your displaying SEGA ADs in your game.

    Sega leaves ADmob. Now you don't show Sega ADs which earn alot of money. You show smaller companies ADs that spend less money so you earn less money.

  • I use Applovin but right now all the AD networks aren't doing well. The reason is more of the larger companies are using other services to promote thier games and apps. Like facebook, TV, paying youtubers,twitter, etc. You need a ton of downloads to make money.

    Well doesn't this give Indies a better opportunity to earn from ad services since larger companies as you say are using other mediums (meaning no more competition in the ad market)?

    As for the you need a ton of dls to make money part, hasn't it always been like that since day 1?

  • Use the "system > wait" event. It will allow you to input the amount of time to wait.

    I heard Admob generates very little income compared to Charboost and RevMob

    My CAPX file is about 98% done.

    The last 2% being learning to use and implement the Twitter, iAds/Admob and possibly IAP features.

    My CAPX file was saved in r227 so I'm assuming iAds is no longer an option since the basic blank layout does not allow the addition of iAds anymore, neither do my own capx files.

    That being said, how do I make money off my app if I were to release it in iOS? Does the Admob option work on iOS devices too?

    Does Apple pay you just from downloads or do I have to use a monetising plugin?

    I know there are a dozen tutorials already posted but I have problem figuring out just which ones are UP-TO-DATE?

    I mean, just last week I thought the Ejecta option was still viable, the tutorial was posted 2014, relatively new compared to the Cordova one which pre-dates it yet Cordova is the recommended option right now.

    By the way, I loaded my game built in r160 in the current release r227 and surprisingly it retains the good LocalStorage system (LocalStorage.LocalValue("Value_Name") ) and not the new one with the whole "Get" system I don't understand. Is this normal?

    I'm still able to add the new plugins such as the Twitter one.
