Knowledge is acquired by doing... BUT

Reading is acquiring other peoples knowledge, so by reading you are learning more than if you did it yourself. Because you avoid all their mistakes.

Naji I second DuckfaceNinja 's idea of being a playtester. You're in a unique position to give feedback from a younger demographic who play a lot of games but aren't always easy to get feedback from. You obviously like games and you obviously like to talk. So you're perfect for it.

I think we would all appreciate you much more for doing that and I think you would gain valuable experience and knowledge seeing what's being done, what works, what doesn't, etc..

I also love everything Kyatric said. especially the bit about the naked man.

spacedoubt yeah I like making reviews, but only 4 applied: two from scirra, two from my websites. the other two website. by the way, Do you a game you want me to review?? I would be glad to do it!

Don't wait for people to ask. Just do it! Go check out the completed creations section and just start reviewing at random.. couldn't hurt!

Just general life advice, never do this. This includes at school, at work, with dating, even going out to dinner. It's okay to stand out, but stand out for "something", not nothing. Never push yourself on people or force relationships with people. It is very off putting and shines through like the rays of the sun to everyone around it.

In general, "trying" to be known more will always make you known for the wrong reasons or even make you less known, the only way to become more known in a good way is to add value to other people's lives. So instead of asking about a favorite color, give help in the how do i forum, or if you really need to make topics, make relevant game discussions that are connected to game dev or c2 in some way.
