Random Dungeon Generator (kind of)

When I saw this I had the crazy idea of a metroid planet generator xD

The Bespectacled One, haven't seen you on here before, you may have registered a while back but welcome :]

Thanks--I had been lurking for quite some time, but finally decided to sign-up in May. The community here is spectacular :]

Tried a new method of creating a dungeon.

Zoomed right out so you can see all the areas. Still bugged though as cut off areas can still be produced but I'm working on it. Once sorted I'll post the cap.

Ha Nice little shapes going on!

Awesome minor!! That's almost exactly what i had in mind when i started but i just couldn't get it to work, well done. Looking forward to the cap

OK here's the cap.

Haven't sorted the bugs but I figured if I posted it someone else could make some improvements. Not very well commented so if you have any questions fire away.

If you want just square rooms:

Event 4 - Change this floorregion: Set Animation Frame to random(13)+1 to 1

Please post any improvements/edits.

Maybe we can get a nice community random dungeon generator going.

Thanks for the cap Minor, while i haven't had time to have a good look at it, i like where your going with the predefined shapes of the rooms!

Also, the idea of the community random dungeon generator sounds good

I will have a closer look at the cap later.

Is there any hope of a tutorial eventually? I wonder I I could twist the system to the DunGen system...

does any one have an example of this in C2?
