  • GeForce 6200, 256 MB, Pixel Shader 3

Demo B is bugged for me If I change the screen size to 640x480 or 1024x768 then when I press Space the program freezes. I can only test 800x600, and it seems to run about the same speed as Demo A, 15-20fps.

    Same story with Demo C.

If anyone has any tips on stuff I can do to squeeze a better framerate out of my card, I'm all ears.

How much money you can spend maximum to boost it up?

    Also try RivaTuner.

    Overclock it?

Err, sorry ash, my 8800gt sometimes peaked at 500fps on 800x600 300 (just below) at 1024x768. But it is an awesome card.

    Performance Test C, 640 x 480 res: My fps was all-over the place from 100 to 300.

    Performance Test C, 800 x 600 res: Same.

Performance Test C, 1024 x 768 res: It crashes when changing to that resolution.

The previous tests A and B, in all different resolutions was running on 70-75 fps.

Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS

Your card costs more, and performs worse sorry man.

  • I haven't overclocked my 8800GT, have you? As powerful as it is, it sure does overheat easily...

  • Performance Test A: 640 x 480, 75fps

    Performance Test A: 800 x 600, 55~fps

    Performance Test A: 1024 x 780, 35~fps

    Performance Test B: 640 x 480, 75fps

    Performance Test B: 800 x 600, 55~fps

    Performance Test B: 1024 x 780, 36~fps

    Performance Test C: 640 x 480, 81~fps

    Performance Test C: 800 x 600, 55~fps

    Performance Test C: 1024 x 780, 36~fps

My Graphic Card is ATI Radeon x1600 PRO, 256mb DDR2

Its doing its job alright for a cheap card.

  • Only tried C at 1024x768.

    ~300 fps on my laptop.

    Video: Geforce 8800M

  • i already told you about the framerate issues i had when you posted the first one on tdc.

there isnt much of a change in framerate between any of them for me. runs at about 15fps when theres ghosts on screen. and about 30fps when i go off to the side in the black areas and just stand there for all three

Nah I havn't, ive only had it a few days.

  • New Benchmark of HD4850

    Performance Test C: 800 x 600, ERROR

    Performance Test C: 1024 x 780, ERROR

Funny about Test C because i cant go over 640x480...

  • I'll have to retry this when I get my hands on the 9800gx2

  • 640x480 = 150-200 fps

    800x600 = 150-200 fps

    1024x768 = locked up :(

not sure why 640x480 didn't yield any higher framerates

    amd 3800+ x2 (2x2ghz)

    2x 1gig 667 ddr2

EVGA 7600gt 256mb (<3 cheap but kick ass card)

    no overlocking

All the tests were ran with max resolution and while downloading stuff and having Quake 4 running in background.

    Test A = Always 60FPS

    Test B = Always 60FPS

    Test C = Always around 300FPS

Is there a limit or something for the first two?

Also, Ashley, how can you reach 400FPS with a 8800gt

  • saw a peek of 300fps on the overclocked 8800gt

    V-Sync

  • By the way, this is an old thread and I'm not worried about the results any more
