Weapon System

Weapon System is a Construct behavior that serves as manager of weapons and their properties.
  • Up Arrow = Jump

    Left = Left

    Right = Right

    WASD = same as arrows

    Down Arrow = Sit (while in Car)

    *Mouse Aims Laser/Turret (Player in Car)

    "(Gather Heads for Ammo) place in Car"

    Left Click = Shoot Turret

    Right Click (HOLD) Silver-bullet machine Gun

    Right Click / Space = Shotgun Fire (2 Shot)

    Shift / R = Reload (Shotgun) *unlimited Ammo for now

    Ctrl = swing Baseball Bat

    Hold E while jumping = enter house

    Hold Q = exit

    Updated player movements and platform logic, Thanks to Ashley's Guide.

    Movement is 100% smoother. Added zombie sounds and a squish noise for decaps.

    I found my game wasn't working on multiple resolutions, I'm trying to figure out this paralax stuff. n I wasn't fully ready to share its current state. <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    I figured it out I just had to put Paralax to 100 horizontal

  • Well that was pretty different!

    Some work is needed on the control side - (I would have loved to use AWSD for movement, as my hand was naturally there to reload and use the bat etc).

    But on the plus side, it very satisfying using that shotgun. The sound is excellent and reloading was fun. Smashing heads like they were letter boxes was cool as well. Spooky graphics :)

    Unless your dead set on keeping fullscreen an option i would suggest using a fixed resolution that fit your graphics.

    Keep working on this, look forward to testing the next version.

    I had originally had WASD programmed in but deleted it, for really no reason all. Will put back in. I'll still keep my default controls for and option.

    I have been trying to get anything in construct to work properly in full screen it isn't. I already posted the Bug in Bug section.

    Also How would I go about making it so that it's a fixed screen size, without changing all of my layouts.

    What? do you mean the logo is no good what does that mean. The in game logo.png? <img src="smileys/smiley29.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    next update:

    I have fixed a lot of issues over the past few days and think it's 150% more solid. EX: the mini-gun was way to free and caused it to go out of whack/out of place. Fixed that and many other things are improved.

    Adding ammo drops for shoty and mini-gun silver-bullets. Added a target Cross-hair that only turns on over target area around car. If you go out of mini-guns target area it turns off. can't shoot directly behind no more. I think it looked weird anyhow. more levels obstacles and enemies plus bosses to come in next update.
