Full game Construct 2 and Construct 3 to post on Google Play
  • I all, I've read a few threads about this but would like to know your opinion and why?

Also, separately, which will construct likely become available for first or in general?

    Thanks

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I've read some people saying that ludei has plans to support the ouya, though I haven't seen an official announcement about that myself. It would be nice if they had an extension system so people could add support for gamestick, nvidia shield, etc.

  • Arima I agree.

Although one thing I do see (I may just be ignorant towards to matter) is that all OUYA games are free; so if you wanted to sell your game you can't.

I could be wrong- I may also be missing some push towards micro-transactions. Let me know, if you know! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • That's a misconception about all games needing to be free on the ouya due to some somewhat unclear communication during the reveal. All ouya games require SOME free content, such as a demo. The entire games do not need to be free.

  • Arima oh that's really interesting.

    Thanks <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Anyone else please share your thoughts on which is/will be better construct 2 wise.

    Thanks

  • I think both will fail :D so neither.

However, Ouya is doing a far better job for market penetration. more exposure, distributed in EbGames, Target and a few other big chain stores.

Game Stick is way more convenient. The idea that the console is a stick is gorgeous design. GS is more convenient.

However, the difference is minor. They are both Android OS that will require custom controller and IAP. Performance will also be very close to the same. Though I would lean towards Ouya as it's using a Tegra 3, where as GS is using one of the alternatives.

As for Ludie working on an Ouya compatibility. Well the information is second hand from one of this community who met up with Ludie staff.
