Here is a link to the tutorial page.

This is more of a guide/reference than a tutorial. It shows the various effects of the different blending modes in graphics programs. If you've ever come across the words 'Overlay' & 'Multiply' before and scratched your head - now you have a visual guide to show you what they do!

Here is a link to the tutorial page.

This tutorial is done in Photoshop but you can easily follow along using Gimp. The general idea is to use texture photos to add...well...texture to your vectors!

  • Kyatric - Can't see any double posting, all new content with each new post. Nope, checked again, not one double post.

I know I've posted A LOT of new content on the Construct forums lately but that was just a backlogs of freebies because I'm new on here - it'll only be one new tutorial every couple of weeks and the new game asset every Monday.

I promise you, I'm not spamming - this is good, free content to help the community.

  • I think what Kyatric meant is that you can summarize the number of posts, just editing the first post to contain all your updates, so it is usually easier, even for you to edit

  • Yes that's what I meant, and so I edited the thread myself...

Double post is posting several posts in a row when the actual content could fit in a single post.

  • Yes that's what I meant, and so I edited the thread myself...

I feel this makes it easier to read so thank you

  • Kyatric So do you want me to just edit my first post for ALL future tutorials or did you only do that to tidy up my backlog of tutorials?

I'm new to the Scirra forums and I've never had this anywhere else so I want to be sure I'm posting right and not being disrespectful to the forum rules.

  • Well, at first it was to tidy the backlog indeed.

As you count on adding more and more tutorials in the future (so it is likely this thread will have more than one page) it might be worth adding each new tutorial in the first post as well (they'll be gathered and easier to check out this way).

It's OK to make a new post in the topic though (as this will be the post notified on the index of the forums).

It was just that as long as no answer had been given making new posts kind of "polluted" the topic.
