Motivate mee, try my new gaem

  • <img src="smileys/smiley10.gif" border="0" align="middle"> I'm having difficulty maintain the desire to work on my game.

    Give me some ideas? Motivate me? Tell me what you like, what you do not like. I need feedback.

    Objective: Destroy the wave of enemies OR survive till day [2mins]

    Use: x c and space to spend your mana.

    Z/mouseclick- default shoot

    X - Slowbolt, a bouncing bullet with high damage

    C - Haste + Heal

    In the works:

    • second loss condition: lose your base.
    • WASD controls.

  • Mouse + Arrows + ZXC is a terrible control scheme

  • I have a WASD version finished I just cannot upload it to my free server right this moment.

  • Really love the retro graphics and style of gameplay. I think you should add a "try again" or "replay" button at the end of the game. Also, have you changed the magic spell keys in the WASD version? I don't think ZXC can work with WASD for movement, unless you allow mouseclick for movement, but then you'd have to change default shooting. Also, what are you planning on including in the 'menu'? Maybe have some coin/money system where you can buy upgrades.

    o I also enjoy the retro feel however the gfx are placeholders for now. I have someone doing their our own pixel art for the game.

    o Yes, in the WASD spells are hotkey'd 1 2 & 3

    o The game was inspired by wave-based action theatres like CoD:Zombies

    with a little MOBA thrown in.

    My friend actually came up with the idea. A shop is a great idea I'm just having difficulty implementing it.

  • Khaz :) Once you implement the "defend the base" scenario, that would make this game so much more awesome.

    Also, are you going to be making this tablet/smartphone friendly?
