I wonder in the future will Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu/) be included in Construct 2?It has drag and drop blocks containing codes.I personally think that it is very easy and convenient to use.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
The event system doesn't really lend itself to other types of input.
One possibility might be to use Blockly for the plugin sdk.
Ashley could use some custom blocks to simplify things even more.
If you want to use scratch then you should probably use Stencyl. Personally i find the block system to be awkward and slow. You need to know where each block is located in the menu and piece them together like jigsaw, where as in Construct each command is available with a simple click on an object. I haven't used the block system that much but i can only image how bad it would be when you have a large game with lots of code.
I was never any good at jigsaws and quickly ran away from Stencyl for that very reason...
Yeah I find those "Jigsaw Puzzles" very difficult and complicated. If construct 2 moved to that my game making would be over!
I think that it can be an addition, for example when start an event sheet u can choose to code in Block mode or in original mode.
C2 Event Sheets lend itself to a better Hybrid of Code.
Now I love Scratch. I think Scratch is fantastic to teach kids how to program. But my problem with scratch is tht the blocks ARE BIG. And then often use up tons of space.
