[Plugin] rex_Container

  • Hey Rex, Could you add an action for remove to also destroy instance.

Currently I use Remove Instance but that doesn't delete it from canvas so I then use destroy but sometimes I get errors with this setup from the Rex plugin saying it can't find instance (even though destroy is called after remove).

  • labithiotis

Ok, I'm adding save/load feature into rex_container plugin. I will also add "action:remove and destroy instance".

  • Your awesome :)

  • Update

    Support official save/load system

    labithiotis

Destroy instance will also remove it from it's container now.

  • Update

    Fix bug at save/load

  • Hi rexrainbow,

Thanks for all the effort you are putting in making all these plugins!

I have an issue which I should report.

When I try to run container_pickinsts.capx which you provide I get an error:

    Javascript error!

    SyntaxError: illegal character

    ...localhost:50000/data.js, line 61 (col undefined)

    -------

    followed by

    -----------

Assertion failure: Unable to load project: no JSON model available. Usually this means an error has prevented the browser loading a script. It may be a bug in Construct 2 or a problem in a third party plugin. Check the browser's error console for more information.

Is there something wrong at my end? Other plugins work fine though.

    Thanks for your time!

  • Also, when i run container_tag.capx I get the following:

    Javascript error!

    SyntaxError: illegal character

    ...localhost:50001/data.js, line 144 (col undefined)

followed by the same stack trace as my post above.

When implementing the plug/behaviour in a new project it also crashes.

    Chrome and firefox both crash.

    I have a Win7 machine

  • Try Construct 3

  • I would be happy to provide any other information needed.

Getting this plugin working would be a real timesaver for me.

Sorry, I could not get useful info from these post. So that I could not find bug.

  • Hey rex. I meant to come back and edit this post with a "nevermind", it turned out the user was using an older version of the plugin. I copied that to the c2 folder, and it was fixed. Thanks!

  • rexrainbow First of all, Thank you for such a wonderful plugin. Now, when I try to open the sample .capx, with C2 r167 release it says something like this:

    ---------------------------

    Construct 2 Check failure

    ---------------------------

Check failure! This is probably a bug:

Loading sprite from pre-r47 project but can't find its old-style texture

    Condition: FileExists(file.c_str())

    File: Projects\ObjectType.cpp

    Line: 619

    Function: class std::unique_ptr<class ObjectType,struct std::default_delete<class ObjectType> > __cdecl ObjectType::CreateFromXmlElement(class ObjectFolder &,const class xml::element &,bool,const class ObjectType *)

    Build: release 167 (64-bit) checked

    Component: Construct 2 IDE

    (Last Win32 error: 3)

You are using a 'checked' release of Construct 2, intended for testing, which causes certain errors to be reported this way. could you do something about it please?, or could you give me some indications about this bug so I can fix it my self?. Thank you again!

  • Update

Disable the feature of assign image point in this plugin,

    jhonathan Ibanez

I had updated this plugin to fix this bug, please try these capx again,

    Sorry for response too late.

  • rexrainbow Thank you so much!! now it works
