  • purplemonkey Whoa! Yonder is one of the best looking games made in Construct! Besides that, the co-op seems very interesting.

I understand there are two people working on this game. How do You manage to share the work? Is it "hot seat" or some fancy branching and updating app?

  • PrinceofMars It is still being made. But given the scope of the game and just one person working on it in free time, it's development takes a lot of time. Nevertheless I think I'm half way there. The release will be shortly after Construct3 I guess

  • Chapter Four - WIP

  • Smoking. Such a bad habit.

  • andreyin Thanks!

Still though - I think this feature should be implemented into official audio object by Scirra, without the need to use 3rd party solutions.

  • It works for me too. I'm using Chrome.

  • I'd like to make a request regarding the audio object - a nice [set volume to ... db in ... seconds] and [stop playing when volume is ...db] would be nice.

I know it can be done via basic coding, but I think it would be a standard function to audio object, without additional lines of code and yet another variable added to a long list.

I also know there are some 3rd party solutions, but incompatible with sound volume units (i.e. native is in db, 3rd party is 0-1) and positioned sound.

  • The perspective is wrong Should be opposite - building top bigger than it's base.

  • Thanks for the comment. The story is essential to the game and I belive You will find it as good as the graphics As for the movement - I'll look into that; could be both factors.

  • PrinceofMars Thanks. I hope You will find much more such details when the game will be released

  • Gigatron I have one more request. Could dynamic shading be optional (on/off toggle)? I would like to use textures with already baked-in shading, like foggy, gray bottom (imagine skyscrapers growing out of the fog).

The other thing is when buildings are placed close to each other, sometimes their perspectives overlap the wrong way, but I think it could easily be corrected by some kind of sorting in regard to player's position...

  • Gigatron This spot-on! Great work! As a sidenote I wonder how far this effect can be pushed - with C2 implementation of quasi 2.5 purpose. Once again - thank You.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Gigatron Aaaah. I see now. Thanks! (It would be great to have the explanation for every parameter of the effect, directly in C2)

  • Gigatron If only the effect could be working outside the square ->

  • Pehesse RRH animations are rigged 3d models transposed into 2d spritesheet and slightly refined there. I'm very lousy animator, though. Apart from the obvious run, jump, crouch, idle etc. cycles I also add some special movements, depending on the chapter they are used in, so nothing fancy...

1 Gb RAM usage is slowly stopping to be an issue, although I try to keep it somewhere around 512 Mb.
