Omg I love this game so much! Whenever I come home from a long day at work, this game is all I think about. It's the only thing that calms me down after my wife left me for our divorce attorney. After living in my wife's boyfriend's basement, nothing brings me joy anymore. That was until I encountered Simply A Dream. I wake up with a smile now and the days are brighter.

UPDATE: After several months and approximately 43 therapy sessions (who’s counting?), I’m thrilled to announce my therapist and I are now officially dating. Turns out our deep discussions about pixelated dreams sparked something special. I guess Simply A Dream really is the ultimate metaphor, because this feels unreal. Thank you, developers, for inadvertently helping me find love (and therapy discounts). Highly, highly recommend!!!
When I downloaded Simply A Dream, I expected a cute, pixelated platformer, not a complete philosophical dismantling of my perception of reality. Since playing, I’ve started to question if my life has always been a badly designed dream sequence filled with inexplicable obstacles and oddly placed spikes. Honestly, the similarities are uncanny.
Each night, as I drift into sleep, I now see myself as a low-res character endlessly jumping from platform to platform, searching for meaning—or at least a better pixel artist. The beautifully minimalist graphics remind me of my emotional depth -barely there, yet somehow strangely compelling.
My therapist insists the game is a metaphor. I’m not sure for what, exactly, but ever since I mentioned it, she’s booked twice-weekly sessions and purchased a new boat.
In short, Simply A Dream has reshaped my life, my dreams, and apparently my therapist's vacation plans. Highly recommend.
