  • Ashley,

    It's not C3, it's Chrome.

I have the same issues with C3 in Chrome on 2 Windows laptops and a Chromebook.

(I even have issues with Google products in the Chrome browser)

The problems I have in C3 with Chrome are:

When I go to the editor's template/demo page, some of the demos don't show up.

Also, when I open an HTML game that I've made with C3 sometimes game features don't work, usually newly added features don't work, but sometimes even features that had been working are an issue.

Typically clearing the cache will clear up the issue, but sometimes clearing the cache and a reboot is required. I disabled all the browser extensions and even removed them at one point, with no change.

And again, when I'm having these issues, everything works just ducky in Firefox and Opera. And it's not only C3. I have similar issues with websites that I've built. I think I'll be moving back to Firefox while Chrome figures out its issues.

    You're welcome.

I have a similar game demo that you can download: howtoconstructdemos.com/avoid-the-darts

  • pandabear7413,

    Yup, it makes sense.

    Here's the thing, the people who build C3 aren't nearly as OCD as those of us who use it (;

There isn't a way to set the column spacing in the way you're describing it, sorry. I don't think they'll change it because many times we need different column spacing on different event sheets.

But if it helps, you're not alone. I am constantly changing my column spacing .... and don't get me going on the "tabs". In this forum somewhere there is a thread all about how the "Tabs" work. Some of us are very particular about our workspace setup. lol

  • I've never used them, but I'm always interested in moving away from googles ads.

How are you implementing them in your game?

  • Chrome is becoming a pain in the arse!

Some of the C3 demos on the editor's demo page, don't show up. Other show up, but won't load, but only in Chrome. They show up in FireFox just fine. There is a terrible lag from time to time, but only in the chrome browser.

Chrome holds a lot in cache, sometimes if I clear the cache everything clears up, but then of course, I need to login to everything again.

However, FF loads and runs sooo slow, I can't take it. So I keep using Chrome.

I know that doesn't help, but at least you know you're not alone.

  • I can't remember the names of the ads that do work in a browser (html), but:

    1. Banner ads Don't work.

    2. The site (URL) must be approved by Google. Meaning you can be approved to use admob ads in apps, but if your website (URL) is not approved to use the ads, they won't show up on a website.

    Hope that helps.

Do you mean the actual event sheet where you write the code?

Or do you mean how do you make all columns in your game the same size using different event sheets?

  • IndieSoft,

I'm not sure I understand the question. You create a new layer and layout the same way you do if you're working in a Windows browser. Right click on Layouts > left click Add. For layers, right click under the layers and click Add.

Am I missing something? Or is that what you need to know?

    Let me know.

  • davidprindle,

This isn't a new problem, but I thought it was a problem that was resolved.

I just ran a test on my daughter's iPhone and my game worked ok, but I could just be getting lucky. Make sure you're using the current version of C3 and you're testing on an iPhone with an updated version of Safari. If it's still an issue you may need to create a bug report.

On a sidenote: Safari is such a worthless browser. Safari is Apples version of MS Internet Explorer.

  • We have a new demo at How to Construct Demos.

Landscape has been a bit of an issue since C3 introduced 3D. Our friend WackyToaster created a demo that allows a sprite go up and down a 3D wedge. This will allow for objects to go up mounts, down ramps and other incline/declines.

  • WackyToaster - That's Amazing!

I will get it up this week.

    Thank you so much.

  • WackyToaster

Yup, that was simple - I should have asked sooner lol

Hey, I can probably get it to go right and left up/down walls, but if you ever get it to go forward and back up/down walls ..... can you please send it to me so I can put it on my website .... if you don't mind .... I'll give you full credit of course and link to wherever you like. (howtoconstructdemos . com) This demo is something people NEED!!

    Thank you soooo much.
