I know this is four years later but I think I found it. It isn't exactly a "potato" but its where you can kind of just go back to where you ended your last throw by first Double-clicking any potato really fast and then before the game resets itself normally, click the home button, then double-click any potato again (make sure to do this really fast though) and you should be in the exact same place as the last potato, you might even get launched although that is more rare. I think this is the one your talking about as the first potato kind of works as a "placeholder".
