Construct 3

Efficient Game Focussed Data Editors

Building games with Construct 3

Sometimes you need extra files in your game to store things like conversations, plot points or backstory. Games like RPGs can also involve spreadsheet-like data tables. Or you might need an array pre-filled with data.

We've got you covered! Construct has a dedicated text editor, and special editors for array and dictionary data. You can add, import and edit these files right from Construct. This helps you set up any other files your game needs without needing to switch to different software.

You can then load these files in your game and use them to your heart's content. For example array and dictionary data can be directly loaded in to Construct's Array and Dictionary plugins. You can even make changes then save data back out of the game again.
