  • Hi,

So, I bought some crayons yesterday, with intent on making some sprites based on them ....

Once I drew lots and even applied for art school, but didnt pass as I didnt had enough old work.

Recently with construct 2, I need my own models and resorted to doing tutorials in blender to make my own.

One of them mentions having scetches of whatever and that those would be your base ...

So now i find myself drawing lots of little scribbles just to get the hang of drawing again .... (been over 10 years)

so, who of you draws, or found him/her self wanting to draw their own model works by hand to import them later as sketches for programs like blender?

  • Hi again Lennaert :)

I used to draw a lot. I painted and did a year of art-school.

Since my right hand got half paralized last year I draw a lot less, but with the help of my Wacom Intuos 4 I can still make some fast rough sketches which I can then use in Blender or Inkscape to create line art or 3D models. I also use drawing for my Desktop publishing, just to make a quick overview of where to place the different elements.

And just because a topic about drawing needs pictures here are two I made around 1995:

And you are totally right, so ... images (don't laugh hehe)

After ten years, I sat their with some crayons wanting to do millions ... blank of thoughts hahaha

so I asked my young daughter to name an animal and I will try and draw character from it .... she said giraffe

Thats my first hand drawn image in a long time hehe :D

Tried a second after that to get some perspective going again

Followed by a load of scribbles to get the hang of curves again, which I will spare you haha
