I'm not sure I agree with that, but in any case, it wouldn't matter if it is done well enough to shatter the mold.

Hey Mipey you stole my idea!! just kidding.. I was thinking about making a space adventure game as well. Something like "Hard Nova" just not as complicated with options. I'm currently waiting on 1.0 to come out before I start on it.

I don't think I could name any. Unless I've seen loads and never realized, since peoples idea of what an RPG is differs quite a bit.

The only Platformer/RPGs I can think of are Castlevania games...

You mean you never heard of "Cave Story"? if you never played it I recommend it, it's the best platform RPG I have ever played as of yet.

Would it be difficult to re-create(/remix) the a.i. of the Konami title International Superstar Soccer, from the 16-bit era?

Yeah whatever happened to all those thousands of sport fans wanting to make a game according to that alleged EA playtester (but hey, wouldn't be the first time someone from EA was wrong!)

I forgot that one. And I've heard of cave story before, but haven't gotten around to learning anything about it. I should play it one of these days for research and inspiration (and I'll be entertained to boot ).

I forgot to mention the Tetris RPG I was planning on doing one day... I swear it will work.
