The Official Introduce Yourself Thread

  • Hi all, I'm John and reside in the UK. I have loved gaming ever since I can remember and the idea of building something from scratch is something I've pondered as long as I can remember.

I came across this site after a bit of googling and it looks like a great starting point.

I'll be using this site to hopefully get some feedback on my ventures and maybe even give something back once I have a little bit more experience.

  • HELLO GUYS!

I'll try to make a beautiful game :*

    See you

I'll share this video on my channel on YouTube

  • Hi, I'm ReanimatedNerd (mis-spelled my username when registering... ha) I'm 28 from Swansea, UK. Really into RPG's, and hoping to make a decent game for Android.

  • I am 13 years old and I'm working on a game that's called "Zombie Football!" to help raise funds for a friend of mine that had brain surgery when he was younger.

It's really simple at the moment, (trying to keep it under 100 events) if you draw a line the player follows it.

Zombie football players (the opposing team) are running at you and the point of the game is to draw a path to avoid them and if necessary, kill them by throwing a football at them.

The proceeds go to Rady Children's hospital. If any of you guys could help out to make it a better game, it would be great! I'm kind of swamped at the moment & need help. :)

Here's the link to the .capx file on Github: github.com/cadepretorius/ZombieFootball

Maybe it would be cool if the football acted like a boomerang and came back to the player.

Adding a "Donate" button that links to brick-brainresearchincancerkids.org would also be great.

As I said before, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    Cade

  • Hello =)

My name is Dennis HeroBiX, I'm currently a student at VFS and going to make a 2D Point & Click Adventure game for my final project =)

Seems like a great forum and great to meet you guys =)

  • Yo, I'm Nijek.

I've been fiddling around with Construct 2 for a bit, and I'm enjoying it. It's not as complex as other tools and doesn't have a huge amount of overhead.

Developing games hasn't been as satisfying for me in a long while.

  • Hello guys, I'm loving Contruct 2. <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Thought I might re-introduce myself.

I have been absent for some time due to other projects and getting side tracked by what I was trying to do. A sort of mix of blogging/developing/publishing/consulting/vlogging/ etc. I was so spread thin I don't think I was doing any of those things well.

I took the first steps and cut a number of things I was doing and trying to think what will get me to the next step. I decided to come back to community to catch my knowledge back up and see what I can do to make some headway.

  • 'sup!

  • Hi everyone! I'm Matthew, from Knoxville, TN. I'm a very long-time gamer and a developer by trade. Most of the time, I'm working in ASP.NET, but have always had interest in game development.

I found out about Construct 2 this past week at devLink in Chattanooga after a great presentation from blogs.msdn.com/jennifer

I've got some ideas for games (mostly for my own entertainment and to facilitate learning other technologies) that I'm going to try to implement sometime soon and hopefully . I'll try to be pretty active here on the forums, but I tend to do more reading than posting.

    Thanks for reading!

  • Hi There, I am from South Africa and use the AngelEyes handle as we are particularly interested in making games to educate, train, exercise and just have fun, for people who are only able to use their eyes as an input source. We use Tobii Eye trackers and are looking to make games using that as our input source (as opposed to keyboard, mouse, touch, or gamepad)
