The Official Introduce Yourself Thread

  • Hello! (:

Trying this out for the first time, wish me luck!

  • Hello! I'm working on my first Construct 2 game, although it's not first engine I've worked with. I recently released a puzzle adventure gamemade with RPG Maker, which was much better received than I could have expected, but I'm using this now because of the greater flexibility and online support. I hope to stick around for a while!

  • Hello I'm Benemok and I'm going to make some games to publish on the scirra arcade and I just want to say that your support is much appreciated

  • Hi,

  • Hello,

I'm Alexander, I'm 25 years old. I first got into videos game when my dad got me the original Nintendo system, after that He bought our first PC an Intel i386. That's what really got me into video games, eventually moving on to our first Pentium computer. During that time playing old classics such as Lucasarts adventure games or Apogee Software until I finally hit 3d games and just fell in love with the idea of creating video games.

I eventually started working on mods for half-life and unreal tournament, just making incomplete games more or less. Until I built up a portfolio and did co-op at a game publishing studio called Dreamcatcher games, (Which is now bankrupt or bought out I think.) I created some box art for a game called metal heart except the only thing in my layout that made it to the final design was the actual logo. The rest was done by another artist.

A year later I started work at a small casual games studio, working on time management and hidden object adventure games some of the games I worked on were

    -3tones

-nightfall mysteries: curse of the opera

    -nightfall mysteries: asylum conspiracys

After that I moved on to create more hidden object games with another developer but this time I was doing all of the artwork.

The game is INK: The Philosopher's Well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWEAY_Ona-w

The game got canned due to some issues in the company.

Those games I worked on previously were done with adobe flash.

After leaving that job several months ago, I started to play around with game maker, and mmf I was going to try and create Hidden Object Games of my own, but I eventually gave up on the idea because the tools were just not what I imagined them to be.

And then I found construct 2... and wondered where this tool was all my life. So far it does everything I throw at it, its really the perfect game creation tool for an artist. I decided to create a game with construct 2 that I would enjoy playing, not like the previous games I worked on such as casual hidden object games. but its really early in development, I can't wait to post pictures and videos so make sure to keep an eye out!

  • Hello there everyone!

My name is Jack Winch and I am a young games designer. I have previously been engaged in a range of 3D game projects made using several engines which include: CryEngine 3, Source engine(modding) and Unreal Development Kit. My gaming fascination came from when I was 5 and was in possession of a Game Boy Advance Sp. I spent a lot of time learning about the listed options and have spent many happy, stressed and perplexed hours making games with them but then it hit me. I still had a love for the classic platform games I played on my Game Boy all those years ago and so now I am using Construct 2 (it's great by the way!) to make some cool and interesting 2D games. I started and run the schools game development club and we are currently working on a FPS with a twist but I shall soon get them making some android and iOS games. I am dedicated and hope that if I get stuck someone here will help me. I hope this told you a little about me and I can't wait to speak with some of you guys!

I love the great tutorials and help other members have been providing for questions and hope to one day be able to return the favor. Hope to have a game up soon for you guys to check out :)

  • Hello!

OK, I didn't do it immediately but here is my introduction..

My name is Rob (nick = robbym) I always wanted to make a game, and now I did (well it isn't finished yet).

    Forgot My Lunch

It's the first game I ever made I've been working with Construct 2 now for a little while and I must say it's great. I have tried others (no names mentioned here ) but nothing beats C2 (so far).

After finishing 'Forgot My Lunch' I will start on a project for smartphone/tablets.

    Another hobby is making/mixing music...

  • HI

My name is Ralph (Czar) and I have been developing games since I was 13. Over the last 15 years all my development has been in Delphi. I run a tuition business that has centres in Australia, New Zealand and England. We supply all the software for the centres. Construct 2 has been the most exciting development platform that I have come across since I discovered Delphi 2. I could rewrite probably 90% of our software suite in Construct 2. It is simply an amazing tool.

We are currently working on online maths program, that artist we are using actually introduced me to Construct 2. Besides that I am building a few games to get acquainted with the product.

Developing with Construct 2 is so much fun!
