    Yeah, dynamics in music refer mainly to the changes in the sound volume during the piece.

    But I know what you mean, and I'm pretty interested in this topic. I'm planning to make some kind of dynamic music for my next production. (so that it changes smoothly reflecting the mood and the scenery)

  • That can probably be easily done manually. Its just a case of fading tracks in and out when certain events happen that trigger certains moods (battle, building etc.)

  • I think that just plain normal fades aren't cool enough. I have considered making a short "transition" pieces of music for mood changes. I'm also planning to use fades cleverly with many "layers" of song, keeping the song itself same, but changing the mood slightly by adjusting volumes and other properties of different tracks.
