Just wondering has anyone tried this???

  • rtsoft.com/novashell

I found this online and it looks pretty good. Not sure if it is as good as construct but it has an even more Visual way of designing games it seems. I haven't found any comments on it and was just wondering if anyone here has played around with it before? It would be cool if Construct 2 had some of the features this one has, dunno if that is possible though because this was written in C++ and Lua?! Don't know if you can make html5 engine work the same way or not since it is a different language? Just wondering.....

  • I've seen it before but it looked like the learning curve of the tool was pretty steep when I already knew how to use Construct Classic. The LUA scripting is nice, but otherwise it seems to match up with CC.

It's definitely possible to have those features in Construct 2 though, as it was also written in C++, and will eventually have other exporters (possibly OpenGL).

  • Really? Sweet. That I did not know. I was aware GM was made in Delphi (because I've hacked the crap out of it)     <img src="smileys/smiley23.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Construct Classic is also programmed in C++, with Visual Studio 2005.

  • Thanks for the link, it looks pretty good but I guess I am partial to Construct 2. It was love at first site ;)

Also, I am convinced there will be other exporters that Scirra will be putting out and that will cover a lot of space.
