  • I need to login twice until i am in. I type in my username, i type in my password, and am NOT logged in. Then i type in my usernam and my password again. And now i am logged in.

This happens everytime i come back. I have to log in twice to get in. Something goes definitely wrong here

While at it, where is the autologin setting?

Login via 'Log in to check your private messages' and it should have an auto-login checkbox there.

As to having to login twice, try just going to another page on the forums. It might not be displaying that you're logged in, while actually logging you in correctly.

  • Mine never stays logged in, i click the login to check messages and i dont need to enter anything i just get logged in, it's really dam annoying, Ashley please do something.

  • It used to do that for me as well, I think it was the way I had the forum bookmarked. Now I just bookmark http://scirra.com and select the forum link from the menu and it auto-logs in normally.

  • I'm not sure why it's doing this, maybe the cookie settings are wrong. I have it set to remember me, so if I click the login link because for some reason it didn't remember, I instantly get logged in anyway. But I'll take a peek...

  • Ah, login via 'Log in to check your private messages' solved at least the double login problem. But even with checking auto login i am logged out when returning to the forum. Hmm.

  • And bookmarking the forum while logged in seems to solve the auto login problem

  • Heres the problem, the link to the forum has "www." while the forum settings itself has no "www.", so the cookie is looking for the address without it, that needs fixing.

    Wha...

I'm not on http:\\www.scirra.com\phpbb2 right now, it's just plain old http:\\scirra.com\phpbb2.

  • Heh, that's indeed it. Different URL's

The forum link from the main Scirra Page with scirra url leads to http://www.scirra.com/phpBB2/

The forum link from the old nozsoft page still shows

    http://www.nozsoft.co.uk/ at the url field.

But when you are logged in to the forum the link is

    http://scirra.com/phpBB2/index.php

    Now that is confusing

  • no ... i'm logged in and it shows http://www.scirra.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=565 for me.

i've actually never had problems with the boards, i keep myself logged in and the only time that i had to log back in was when i cleared my cookies but that doesn't affect me anymore because i've set my ccleaner to keep the cookies for this website so i'm forever logged in!
